More likely is an expansion of the already powerful collaboration functions of Resolve, which currently only work over the local network, to a global team functionality over the Internet. We can only speculate what the "DaVinci Resolve Cloud" might be: rather unlikely is a cloud subscription along the lines of Adobe, for example, since Blackmagic&s CEO Grant Petty had spoken out against such a subscription model in the past. And the time around NAB would be the right time to introduce an update that brings big new features such as cloud integration. The last major update to version 17.1 of Resolve, which brought support for Apple&s M1 SoC and H.265 hardware encoding and decoding, among other things, took place just over a year ago.
